We all have heard things women get to face while doing but it is not only limited to them. Men likely feel unheard about opening up about a few things that upon doing they are judged for. This society has set so many norms about masculinity and what a man should adhere to. This question came to the spot when a Redditor asked this to all fellow males and the answers were something that we all need to hear. There are some things that only men are allowed to do like, late night outings, inviting friends over anytime, walking in undies, or smoking but there are also some things that men get trolled for upon doing. Let us take a look at those things men should be allowed to do without being judged.
Pee sitting down
Many men have told that they were mocked and judged for telling this. They were called Gay, Little lady, P*ssy, and whatnot. Society has been shaming men who sit while peeing. I mean, why can't men just sit and pee? Isn't it should be normalized among all? Men too deserve the calmness of peeing on squats.
Being unemployed
A very common and popular thing. "We can not search for a bride for you because you don't have a job. OMG! Your younger sister is earning and you are not, Do you have any self-respect left? Your father is getting old now it is your responsibility to look after your family and find a job asap."
Men feel trapped and burdened by these statements. They too can think of higher studies or choose house chores over offices. We need to stop our neighbors from making fun of our sons, fathers, or brothers if they cut veggies or cook, and look after kids. They can clean and work in the kitchen. So STOP.
Having long hair
One of the important things men should be allowed to have without being judged is having long hair. Love was never divided, and neither did love for certain things. There are some men who wear Bindi, Kajal, and jewels. Brands and markets have started bringing unisex things to support this.
A man with long hair can be anyone, a student, writer, teacher, Yoga teacher, scholar, doctor, and of course a musician.
Why men with long hair are always assumed pros at playing guitar? Just asking.
Not wanting to talk about sports
An Instagram comment coming from the user cinematiknupe says, "It's like every time I'm in a room alone with some guy I just met he has to acknowledge the latest game and its results just to see how I react and is weird about it when I'm like...I didn't watch and I have no idea where(insert team/player) stands tbh," Yes, men not wanting to talk about sports is real and they should be allowed to do without being judged.
