Young people are called the Future of the world, they have the ability to bring changes to society. Creating a future and being willing to achieve their goals, youths are highly expected to adapt to the long-held beliefs and old system. The main focus of this write-up is Youngers and their hopelessness over many things.
They are tending to lose hope because our society is still not ready to change itself, hence they can not find paths toward their goals.
Here are some neglected key points on why young people have already started giving up their hope:
The polluted environment and climate change
After witnessing the pandemic, youths were shocked that how they have wasted their 2-3 years doing nothing. It wasn't the end of it, seeing people not following the given guidelines boiled up their anger. Climate change, an increase in unemployment, and becoming a citizen of an overly populated country have put them in the toughest situation.
No priority is given to them
The current scenario of India states itself the poor condition and decay in the morale of students. Corruption, lack of quality basic education, and ineffective distribution of resources have alarmed them that this is high time to ask for priority from the government. It is now or never.
Zero emotional support
One of the main reasons for Young losing hope is no emotional support from family or relatives. On top of it when Youths try to bring changes opposing the societal culture and its rigidity, they are asked to reconsider their decisions and it breaks them.
Pile of unnecessary Syllabi
When an adult thinks about cracking some exam or going to a higher education program, they have to go through a long, loaded syllabus with the same old pattern. They are not tested for their skills which confirms their position more strongly.
There is a huge need to change the pattern of questions and of course the syllabus.
Expensive fee structure and forms
Students from the middle class and below middle-class families have to think a lot before applying for any course or exam. So many students remained deprived of taking admission to their choice of colleges due to the large fee structure. Their parents couldn't collect money to pay for fees. Parents think that because of them their children won't be able to fulfill their dreams which is heart-wrenching.
Witnessing abuse or violence in Family
This factor remains hidden unless the student speaks up about it. They struggle to focus in study and become hopeless. Families have this unhealthy obsession to pass on the same trauma to their children and when their kids fail, they blame them for not staying home to study.
