No matter how loving and caring your partner is if they can not respect your choice, there's nothing to be happy about.

Learning to forgive is one of the major things that you can practice before getting married. Many people avoid considering this in the name of being "real" and "honest". Marriage is not always about living in fun and excitement every single day, people have their ups and downs so do married couples. When you love someone you accept them with their flaws, it does not mean that you can't feel annoyed, of course, you should but when you forgive them they sense the immense love towards them and feel grateful to have you.
Financial discussions
Financial discussions do not easily get to open between two persons that too when they just have met. But the more you get comfortable, you are open to discussing things like these. Discussing your finance management before tying the knot is really going to be helpful. Talk to your partner about the contributions you like to make, and decide how long you do not want to have babies.
