What defines Masculinity, Being tough muscled up? If the individuals who are identified as men wear makeup, make them less manly? Why are we still choosing socially constructed characteristics over being ourselves where wearing makeup is no longer limited to only women? It is slowly being seen as gender neutral. Make-up has nothing to do with your sexuality. In India, the aggression against men wearing make-up will take time to evaporate. Amidst this only a few men have decided to redefine 'masculinity' and they are the actual generational rebellion with a make-up brush in their hands. Social media influencer and now make-up artist Ankush Bahuguna has taught us how to unburden ourselves from social norms by posting make-up tutorials and breaking stereotypes on Instagram. Ankush has also started a separate account Wing it with Ankush with his raw and inclusive videos of improving the appearance of family and friends through his makeup.

Cure to BDD (Body dysmorphic disorder)
Persons with BDD have shared their struggles of standing in front of the mirror for hours before going out. They were suggested to try cosmetics and make-up products to lessen the anxiety and the fear of getting embarrassed. Since BDD can't be cured therefore counseling, therapies, and yes make-up has helped them manage their BDD.
Finding out the Best version of yourself
Since men's make-up was an unheard thing before it came into more practice, people's reaction was mixed. Many men controlled themselves from trying it out or did it behind the doors. Makeup was never about gender, it was always about finding yourself better. If it gives you confidence then why settle for less?
Passion to bring out Inclusiveness
Many men have joined the artistic army to follow their passion. From draping Sarees to models to redefining their eyebrows men have proved their potential. Without questioning their masculinity we should let them follow what their hearts desire.
