In families, a firstborn always gets the attention but it does not always go as smoothly as it sounds and it is no fun at all when comes the second giant and then the third....yes your younger siblings. As the eldest, you feel an extra burden that does not let you be you sometimes but when you grow old, you start to see all those burdens as the responsibilities only you want to take for your siblings. Because you love to look after them and do want to let this feeling go. You experience something that you wouldn't have known without being the oldest. What are those things? Read the full article to find out.
You are always strong for the siblings
Believe it or not, your younger sister or brother always sees you as the strongest person in the world. Even if you are sick and lying in the bed, the kiddos still expect that you will drop them to school. (You gave them a ride. Right?)
There is no "Mine"
In the beginning, when your siblings had not been born you used to have a lot of fun being the only child at home. All the privileges belonged to you, you had everything before you ask for it. But now there is no such thing that you can call only yours. It's either theirs or everyones.
You know the pressure of setting an example
You must have seen your siblings copying everything you do. They would blindly follow or imitate what you would do. They start reading your books, learn to speak words from you, you always have been a great impact on them. And growing older you realize that now you can not give up on things easily because your siblings have got you back and they look up to you.
You are the walking Wikipedia from them
You know how your lazy-ass sibling comes to you for anything that comes into his/her mind. They know that you always know at least something corresponding to everything :D
Another Sacrifice? When? Where? Not a problem. Death.
It started as giving your large piece of cake to your younger demon, who was rolling on the floor. And it goes on, now they get the spacious room( of what use it to you?), you stay home on weekends whilst they go for the extra classes(In movie theatres) and whatnot. "There There".
