The wildly successful hero-based shooter, Marvel Rivals, developed by NetEase Games, will become available for play together with this year's Spring Festival celebration on January 23, 2025 at 1 am PST. This autumnal celebration launches a unique game mode, an exclusive character skin, and a unique crossover, plus features Insomniac's Spider-Man 2.
Clash of Dancing Lions: A New Limited-Time Mode
The soul of Lunar New Year is the "Clash of Dancing Lions" a head-to-head, 3v3-based game in which players take control of heroes (for example, Star-Lord, Black Widow, and Iron Fist) embellished with grandly coloured lion dance themed skins. Teams battle to take possession of a ball and score within each other's goal zones, which is similar to games played in Rocket League and matches in which Lucio ball is played, where Lucio moves the ball in the air using a large, soft bounce that flips the ball into the air when it hits the ball more than once in a short span of time, divided by a single bounce.

Participants for the Spring Festival are able to claim some event-only items (e.g.

By introducing the "Clash of Dancing Lions" mode in the games industry, it has sparked a discussion in parallel to similar modes in other very popular games.
