Things to do to cheer up your family members

You've probably heard about seasonal affective disorder or SAD.

No, we are not talking about Summertime SADness; you saw Lana Del Rey singing. Actually, mental health can get affected by the weather. The onset of summer can trigger your family's mental health. If one of your friends or family members is feeling blue due to the summer, here is the list of a few things to cheer them up:

Cook them their favorite meal

Food is always the best option to cheer up someone. If your loved one is in a bad mood and he or she is not open to tell a word, you bring them their favorite food. Sit right next to them.

Seeing their colorful plate with their favorite recipe will lower the anxiety bar.

Write a short note

Writing skills always help in situations like these. Use your creativity to express how much you care for them and want to support them in any circumstances.

Make sure the note is not very long to read (they might avoid reading) Keep it short and cute.

Play their favorite movie

There's not so much pressure to talk while watching a favorite movie or television series but if they feel the need to share, you'll be with them right by their side. Prepare some snacks and order soft drinks. It will make them forget what they have been worrying about.

Draw a sketch

Seeing themself in a cute drawing will remind them of older times with you. It might also help get your loved one's mind off things.

Take them out

Revisiting places where you have all been going lately will magically add some spark to their eyes. Seeing your favorite Shoe store or cafe will let them try to make a change in their mood.

Buy them things from their Wishlist

Seeing an item saved for later at their door can surprise them in a good way. It is going to surely cheer them up. Don't buy extra expensive things, it might freak them out.
