If you are a person who belongs to a middle-class family, you know about the irony of being fooled by telling your story to make people laugh and pity you. No space for your pieces of stuff
Whether it is about your books or your clothes, there was never enough space to showcase a corner that belongs to you. It is always partially your parent's, partially your siblings', and partially yours.
No privacy is given
As we grow older we realize that not getting enough privacy is actually suffocating. Since childhood, we got used to it but slowly it started feeling like we are this old but still have no place to make an important call or attend a meeting. So many of our sacrifices were made in the name of lacking privacy.

Every and now we always get to hear that you can not take this job because of the timing not being right. If you will get involved in this who else gonna do the house chores? Your brother can't cook apparently, because we won't let him, why? He is a boy no.
We have given you enough chance, Now let us get you married
Children of middle-class families are sent to achieve something with an "If you wouldn't make it" condition already prepared by the elders. And when a child fails to achieve within a certain given time, he/she is asked to get married because they gave you chance and you disappointed them.
